What is a habit?
A habit is a conditioned response to a stimulus which becomes automatic over time.
It is a learned behaviour that we repeat over and over again until it becomes automatic.
Mostly everything we do is life is habitual in nature from the breakfast we eat,
the way in which we drive to work. Habits save us time as we no longer need to think
consciously about doing certain things -
Bad Habits -
A bad habit, like a habit, is a conditioned response, however unlike good habits, bad habits don’t help us but hinder us in some way. When we do something that we know isn’t good for us or makes us feel bad, over and over again, it is known as a bad habit. Examples of bad habits are nail biting, smoking, hair pulling, swearing. However a bad habit exists because it provides us with a positive benefit and this needs to be replaced before you can overcome your bad habit.

An addiction is basically a bad habit -
